  • The best theatre in the city. We watched 2 times the same play but enjoyed again even more. "Arshin mal alan" is about a very simple love stroy but our great honoured writer and composer Uzeyir Hadjibeyov wrote it in a interesting way. Foreigners might not be understand whole play however I saw they really were enjoying their time. I sould note it's kinda local secret here, not everyone knows about it but you should.
  • The facilities and decor is nice. The ticket prices were okay. The puppet designs were pretty good, dressed in fantastic costumes, yet all with the same wooden frame and articulations underneath. I was a bit disappointed that the performance prominently featured the puppeteers, as the spotlights included their hands and faces which, proportionate to the size of the marionettes, commanded the audience's attention. Be aware that most of the patrons are tourists and the theater caters to their interests in accordance with those of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism. All information within the theater is communicated in Azeri, Russian, and English.
