Museum of Modern Art, Baku

Functioning since 2009, Baku's Museum of Modern Art is housed in an eye-catching building near the upmarket Port Baku area which is replete with open passages and walls meeting at different angles as well as an abundance of metallic structures. Inside you can enjoy browsing a vast collection of over 800 works by Azerbaijan artists of the second half of the 20th century, with a focus on avant-garde painters and sculptors of the 1960s and 1970s, as well as masterpieces by illustrious European artists including Salvador Dalí, Pablo Picasso, and Marc Chagall.
