Reportedly one of the world's most expensive streets, Nizami Street/Torgovaya runs for 3.5 km (2.2 mi) through the downtown area. The street features Baroque, Neoclassical, Neo-Gothic, and Neo-Renaissance houses, Stalinist-era buildings, and modern skyscrapers.
