Built in 1161-1162, the Yusif ibn Kuseyir Mausoleum in Nakhchivan city was built by the brilliant local architect Ajemi Nakhchivani, who also designed the stunning Momine Khatun Mausoleum and is known as the founder of the Nakhchivan school of architecture. The octagonal baked-brick structure is topped with a pyramid and features exquisite geometric ornaments on all sides.
