Famous as the birthplace of legendary poet Nizami, Ganja is a truly ancient city still bearing traces of the myriad kingdoms and empires that ruled over it in the past.
Start off your visit on the 7th (Mon): don't miss a visit to Nizami Ganjavi Mausoleum and then contemplate in the serene atmosphere at Imamzadeh Mausoleum. Keep things going the next day: identify plant and animal life at Lake Goygol and then look for all kinds of wild species at Maralgol lake.
