Gobustan Rock Art Cultural Landscape (UNESCO Heritage) covers three areas of a plateau of rocky boulders rising out of the semi-desert of central Azerbaijan, with an outstanding collection of more than 6,000 rock engravings bearing testimony to 40,000 years of rock art.
On the 22nd (Thu), see the interesting displays at Gobustan State Reserve and then make a trip to Mud Volcanoes. Get ready for a full day of sightseeing on the next day: contemplate the long history of Diri Baba Mausoleum.

Kick off your visit on the 24th (Sat): admire the landmark architecture of Sheki Karvansaray, then admire the landmark architecture of Sheki Khans' Palace, then don't miss a visit to Sheki Fortress, and finally admire the masterpieces at Museum of Folk and Applied Arts.
