A truly contemporary city criss-crossed by history, Baku offers everything from the modern elegance of the Flame Towers to the medieval UNESCO-listed Old City at its core.
Family-friendly places like Baku Boulevard and Heydar Aliyev Center will thrill your kids. Visiting Dreamland Golf Club and Yanardag will get you outdoors. There's still lots to do: don't miss a visit to Baku Old City, take a stroll through Little Venice, take an in-depth tour of National Museum of History of Azerbaijan, and tour the pleasant surroundings at Highland Park.

Dammam, Saudi Arabia to Baku is an approximately 6-hour flight. You can also drive. The time zone difference when traveling from Dammam to Baku is 1 hour. Traveling from Dammam in July, expect nights in Baku to be little chillier, around 26°C, while days are cooler, around 36°C. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 24th (Sun) early enough to fly to Ganja.

Ganja — 3 nights

Famous as the birthplace of legendary poet Nizami, Ganja is a truly ancient city still bearing traces of the myriad kingdoms and empires that ruled over it in the past.
Step out of the city life by going to Lake Goygol and Maralgol lake. And it doesn't end there: contemplate in the serene atmosphere at Imamzadeh Mausoleum, browse the different shops at Ganja Mall, don't miss a visit to Nizami Ganjavi Mausoleum, and walk around Khan's Garden.

You can fly from Baku to Ganja in 2.5 hours. Other options are to take a train; or drive. In July in Ganja, expect temperatures between 38°C during the day and 25°C at night. Finish your sightseeing early on the 27th (Wed) so you can drive to Gabala.

Gabala — 2 nights

If you're fed up of the concrete jungle, take a trip to Gabala for the perfect getaway.
On the 28th (Thu), get in on the family fun at Gabaland, hit the slopes at Tufandag Winter Summer Resort, and then explore the activities along Yeddi Gozel Waterfall. Keep things going the next day: explore the activities along Nohur Lake, then appreciate the extensive heritage of Chukhur Gabala, and then get curious at Gabala Archaeological Center.

You can drive from Ganja to Gabala in 2.5 hours. Alternatively, you can do a combination of train and taxi. Traveling from Ganja in July, expect a bit cooler with lows of 21°C in Gabala. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 29th (Fri) early enough to drive to Gobustan.
