Gobustan — 1 night

Gobustan Rock Art Cultural Landscape (UNESCO Heritage) covers three areas of a plateau of rocky boulders rising out of the semi-desert of central Azerbaijan, with an outstanding collection of more than 6,000 rock engravings bearing testimony to 40,000 years of rock art.
Start off your visit on the 20th (Mon): don't miss a visit to Diri Baba Mausoleum. Get ready for a full day of sightseeing on the 21st (Tue): make a trip to Mud Volcanoes and then learn more about the world around you at Gobustan State Reserve.

Famous as the birthplace of legendary poet Nizami, Ganja is a truly ancient city still bearing traces of the myriad kingdoms and empires that ruled over it in the past.
On the 24th (Fri), don't miss a visit to Nizami Ganjavi Mausoleum and then take in the spiritual surroundings of Imamzadeh Mausoleum. Here are some ideas for day two: explore the activities along Maralgol lake and then contemplate the waterfront views at Lake Goygol.
