A truly contemporary city criss-crossed by history, Baku offers everything from the modern elegance of the Flame Towers to the medieval UNESCO-listed Old City at its core.
Explore hidden gems such as Heydar Mosque and Juma Mosque. Appreciate the collections at National Museum of History of Azerbaijan and National Museum of Azerbaijan Literature. There's lots more to do: make a trip to Baku Old City, go for a walk through Baku Boulevard, explore the ancient world of Ateshgah Fire Temple, and take in the architecture and atmosphere at Juma Mosque.

If you are flying in from Poland, the closest major aiport is Heydar Aliyev International Airport. In July, plan for daily highs up to 36°C, and evening lows to 26°C. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 8th (Fri) early enough to travel to Khizi.

Khizi's swirling pink mountains are quite simply an extraordinary sight to behold.

Guba — 1 night

A gateway into the majestic Caucasus Mountains, Guba is a glorious stretch of countryside and a great destination for lovers of ecotourism and outdoor adventures.
Your day by day itinerary now includes Tengya Alty Gorge as well as Afurja Waterfall. On the 10th (Sun), steep yourself in history at Six-Domed Synagogue, then explore the different monuments and memorials at Guba Genocide Memorial Complex, and then take an in-depth tour of Mountain Jews Museum.

Gusar is just a stone's throw from Guba. In July, daily temperatures in Gusar can reach 38°C, while at night they dip to 21°C. You will leave for Khinalig on the 13th (Wed).

Khinalig — 1 night

This picturesque village is located at over 2,000 m (6,500 ft) above sea level and it is said to be connected with the story of Noah: according to legend, when Noah saw this high, flat terrain, he dropped anchor and told everyone to leave the Ark.
Lahij Central Street has been added to your itinerary. On the 13th (Wed), examine the collection at Khinalig Village and then get to know the fascinating history of Lahij Central Street.
