A truly contemporary city criss-crossed by history, Baku offers everything from the modern elegance of the Flame Towers to the medieval UNESCO-listed Old City at its core.
Discover out-of-the-way places like Museum of Miniature Books and Heydar Mosque. Do some cultural sightseeing at National Museum of History of Azerbaijan and Qala Archaeological and Ethnographic Museum Complex. Nur-Sultan, Kazakhstan to Baku is an approximately 6.5-hour flight. You can also drive; or take a train. The time zone changes from East Kazakhstan Time (ALMT) to Azerbaijan Standard Time (AZT), which is usually a -2 hour difference. Expect somewhat warmer temperatures when traveling from Nur-Sultan in July; daily highs in Baku reach 36°C and lows reach 26°C. You'll set off for Ismayilli on the 28th (Thu).
