A truly contemporary city criss-crossed by history, Baku offers everything from the modern elegance of the Flame Towers to the medieval UNESCO-listed Old City at its core.
You'll visit kid-friendly attractions like Baku Boulevard and Heydar Aliyev Center. Step out of Baku with an excursion to Gobustan State Reserve in Gobustan--about 1h 5 min away. Karachi, Pakistan to Baku is an approximately 10-hour flight. Traveling from Karachi to Baku, you'll gain 1 hour due to the time zone difference. Famous as the birthplace of legendary poet Nizami, Ganja is a truly ancient city still bearing traces of the myriad kingdoms and empires that ruled over it in the past.
Start off your visit on the 18th (Sat): delve into the lush surroundings at Lake Goygol. On your second day here, don't miss a visit to Bottle House, admire the striking features of Chokek Hammam, admire the landmark architecture of Mausoleum of Javad Khan, pause for some serene contemplation at Ganja State Puppet Theatre, then get a taste of the local shopping with Javad Khan Street, and finally stroll through Khan's Garden.
