A truly contemporary city criss-crossed by history, Baku offers everything from the modern elegance of the Flame Towers to the medieval UNESCO-listed Old City at its core.
Popular historic sites such as Baku Old City and Alley of Martyrs are in your itinerary. Your cultural itinerary includes sights like Gobustan State Reserve and Heydar Aliyev Center. Nur-Sultan, Kazakhstan to Baku is an approximately 6.5-hour flight. You can also drive; or take a train. The time zone difference moving from East Kazakhstan Time (ALMT) to Azerbaijan Standard Time (AZT) is minus 2 hours. Expect a bit warmer temperatures when traveling from Nur-Sultan in July; daily highs in Baku reach 36°C and lows reach 26°C. Cap off your sightseeing on the 3rd (Wed) early enough to go by car to Sheki.

Sheki — 2 nights

Sheki is Azerbaijan’s true travel gem, a small city off the forested slopes of the Greater Caucasus Mountains rich in Silk Road history and renowned for its fascinating architecture, food, and friendly residents.
Start off your visit on the 3rd (Wed): take in the architecture and atmosphere at Church of Kish, then browse the exhibits of Sheki Khans' Palace, and then contemplate the long history of Sheki Karvansaray. Get ready for a full day of sightseeing on the 4th (Thu): admire the masterpieces at Museum of Folk and Applied Arts, make a trip to Sheki Fortress, and then relax in the rural setting at Bio Garden.

Naftalan is a city in Azerbaijan, surrounded by the rayon of Goranboy. Naftalan is known for baths and spas. Your trip includes some of its best attractions: explore the activities along Lake Goygol and slough off your stress at Turkish baths.

Ismayilli — 3 nights

Take a trip to Ismayilli to discover a region of rolling countryside producing some of Azerbaijan’s best honey, dairy produce, and wine.
Get a sense of the local culture at Meyseri Wines and Shamakhi Astrophysical Observatory. Explore Ismayilli's surroundings by going to Alpaca Azerbaijan (in Meysary) and Yeddi Gumbaz Mausoleum (in Shamakhi). There's more to do: do a tasting at Chabiant Winery and make a trip to Ivanovka Village.
