Nur-Sultan, Kazakhstan to Baku is an approximately 6.5-hour flight. You can also drive; or take a train. Due to the time zone difference, you'll gain 2 hours traveling from Nur-Sultan to Baku. Plan for a bit warmer temperatures traveling from Nur-Sultan in July, with highs in Baku at 36°C and lows at 26°C. Cap off your sightseeing on the 5th (Fri) early enough to catch the train to Naftalan.

Naftalan is a city in Azerbaijan, surrounded by the rayon of Goranboy. Naftalan is known for baths and spas. Your trip includes some of its best attractions: explore the activities along Lake Goygol and slough off your stress at Turkish baths.

You can take a train from Baku to Naftalan in 4.5 hours. Alternatively, you can drive; or do a combination of bus and taxi. On the 7th (Sun), you'll travel to Sheki.

Sheki is Azerbaijan’s true travel gem, a small city off the forested slopes of the Greater Caucasus Mountains rich in Silk Road history and renowned for its fascinating architecture, food, and friendly residents.

On the 8th (Mon), take in the architecture and atmosphere at Church of Kish and then relax in the rural setting at Bio Garden. Get ready for a full day of sightseeing on the 9th (Tue): explore the world behind art at Museum of Folk and Applied Arts, then admire the landmark architecture of Sheki Khans' Palace, and then don't miss a visit to Sheki Fortress.

Getting from Naftalan to Sheki by car takes about 2 hours. Other options: take a train. In August, plan for daily highs up to 38°C, and evening lows to 24°C. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 9th (Tue) early enough to drive to Ismayilli.

Wrap up your sightseeing on the 10th (Wed) to allow time to drive to Baku.

Kick off your visit on the 11th (Thu): shop like a local with Ali Shamsi Studio, then delve into the distant past at Ateshgah Fire Temple, and then tee off at Dreamland Golf Club.
