Baku
A truly contemporary city criss-crossed by history, Baku offers everything from the modern elegance of the Flame Towers to the medieval UNESCO-listed Old City at its core.
Step off the beaten path and head to Nature & Wildlife Tours and Philharmonic Park. Change things up with these side-trips from Baku: Shamakhi (Yeddi Gumbaz Mausoleum & Juma Mosque), Candy Cane Mountains (in Khizi) and Mardakan Fortress (in Mardakan). There's still lots to do: see the interesting displays at Museum of Miniature Books, stop by City Walls, soak in style at Turkish baths, and don't miss a visit to Bibi-Heybat Mosque.

To find traveler tips, more things to do, photos, and other tourist information, use the Baku day trip website.

In February, plan for daily highs up to 9°C, and evening lows to 3°C. Finish your sightseeing early on the 15th (Sat) so you can travel back home.
