Gobustan — 1 night

Gobustan Rock Art Cultural Landscape (UNESCO Heritage) covers three areas of a plateau of rocky boulders rising out of the semi-desert of central Azerbaijan, with an outstanding collection of more than 6,000 rock engravings bearing testimony to 40,000 years of rock art.
Start off your visit on the 6th (Fri): don't miss a visit to Mud Volcanoes and then get a new perspective on nature at Gobustan State Reserve.

You can drive from Baku to Gobustan in 1.5 hours. Alternatively, you can take a train. In January in Gobustan, expect temperatures between 45°F during the day and 36°F at night. Finish your sightseeing early on the 6th (Fri) to allow enough time to drive to Gabala.

If you're fed up of the concrete jungle, take a trip to Gabala for the perfect getaway.
Gabala is known for winter sports, nature, and theme parks.
