Get out of town with these interesting Baku side-trips: Gobustan (Mud Volcanoes & Gobustan State Reserve). The adventure continues: examine the collection at Heydar Aliyev Center, steep yourself in history at Baku Old City, delve into the distant past at Ateshgah Fire Temple, and take in the dramatic natural features at Yanardag.

Start off your visit on the 11th (Sat): make a trip to Sheki Karvansaray, then don't miss a visit to Sheki Fortress, then admire the landmark architecture of Sheki Khans' Palace, and finally explore the world behind art at Museum of Folk and Applied Arts. On your second day here, relax in the rural setting at Bio Garden, then admire the landmark architecture of Winter Palace, then take in the architecture and atmosphere at Church of Kish, and finally stop by Aliovsat Sweets House.

Famous as the birthplace of legendary poet Nizami, Ganja is a truly ancient city still bearing traces of the myriad kingdoms and empires that ruled over it in the past.
On the 13th (Mon), contemplate in the serene atmosphere at Imamzadeh Mausoleum, admire the landmark architecture of The Alexander Nevsky Church, then make a trip to Bottle House, then stroll around Khan's Garden, and finally walk around Heydar Aliyev Park.
