A truly contemporary city criss-crossed by history, Baku offers everything from the modern elegance of the Flame Towers to the medieval UNESCO-listed Old City at its core.
Shop till you drop at Ganja Mall and Ali Shamsi Studio. Museum-lovers will get to explore Heydar Aliyev Center and National Museum of History of Azerbaijan. Zagreb, Croatia to Baku is an approximately 11-hour flight. You can also drive; or do a combination of bus and train. Traveling from Zagreb to Baku, you'll lose 3 hours due to the time zone difference. Azerbaijan's True Historical Gem

Sheki is Azerbaijan’s true travel gem, a small city off the forested slopes of the Greater Caucasus Mountains rich in Silk Road history and renowned for its fascinating architecture, food, and friendly residents.
Start off your visit on the 7th (Tue): explore the world behind art at Museum of Folk and Applied Arts, admire the striking features of Sheki Khans' Palace, and then make a trip to Sheki Fortress. On the next day, take in the architecture and atmosphere at Church of Kish and then shop like a local with Aliovsat Sweets House.

Drive from Baku to Sheki in 4.5 hours. Alternatively, you can do a combination of flight and taxi; or take a train. Traveling from Baku in September, you can expect nighttime temperatures to be little chillier in Sheki, with lows of 19°C. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 8th (Wed) to allow time to drive to Gabala.

Gobustan
