Gobustan Rock Art Cultural Landscape (UNESCO Heritage) covers three areas of a plateau of rocky boulders rising out of the semi-desert of central Azerbaijan, with an outstanding collection of more than 6,000 rock engravings bearing testimony to 40,000 years of rock art.
Kick off your visit on the 21st (Mon): learn more about the world around you at Gobustan State Reserve. Keep things going the next day: steep yourself in history at Diri Baba Mausoleum and then don't miss a visit to Mud Volcanoes.

For shopping fun, head to Ganja Mall or Javad Khan Street. Get in touch with nature at Lake Goygol and Maralgol lake. Take a break from Ganja with a short trip to St. John's Church in Goygol, about 36 minutes away. Next up on the itinerary: take in the spiritual surroundings of Imamzadeh Mausoleum, stroll through Heydar Aliyev Park, and take in the architecture and atmosphere at The Alexander Nevsky Church.
