The City of Eternal Flames, the City of Winds

A truly contemporary city criss-crossed by history, Baku offers everything from the modern elegance of the Flame Towers to the medieval UNESCO-listed Old City at its core.
Get out of town with these interesting Baku side-trips: Gobustan (Gobustan State Reserve & Mud Volcanoes). Dedicate the 1st (Sun) to wine at some of the top wineries in the area. The adventure continues: make a trip to Baku Old City, see the interesting displays at Azerbaijan National Carpet Museum, take in the dramatic natural features at Yanardag, and go for a walk through Baku Boulevard.

For ratings, other places to visit, where to stay, and other tourist information, go to the Baku online travel route planner.
