Gobustan Rock Art Cultural Landscape (UNESCO Heritage) covers three areas of a plateau of rocky boulders rising out of the semi-desert of central Azerbaijan, with an outstanding collection of more than 6,000 rock engravings bearing testimony to 40,000 years of rock art.
Start off your visit on the 17th (Tue): learn more about the world around you at Gobustan State Reserve. Get ready for a full day of sightseeing on the 18th (Wed): don't miss a visit to Diri Baba Mausoleum and then don't miss a visit to Mud Volcanoes.

Famous as the birthplace of legendary poet Nizami, Ganja is a truly ancient city still bearing traces of the myriad kingdoms and empires that ruled over it in the past.
