16 days in Gobustan Itinerary

Gobustan Rock Art Cultural Landscape (UNESCO Heritage) covers three areas of a plateau of rocky boulders rising out of the semi-desert of central Azerbaijan, with an outstanding collection of more than 6,000 rock engravings bearing testimony to 40,000 years of rock art.

You'll explore the less-touristy side of things at Mud Volcanoes and Beshbarmag Mountain. Explore Gobustan's surroundings by going to Candy Cane Mountains (in Khizi) and Alti Aghaj National Park (in Altiaghach). Next up on the itinerary: contemplate the long history of Diri Baba Mausoleum and examine the collection at Gobustan State Reserve.
