Gobustan Rock Art Cultural Landscape (UNESCO Heritage) covers three areas of a plateau of rocky boulders rising out of the semi-desert of central Azerbaijan, with an outstanding collection of more than 6,000 rock engravings bearing testimony to 40,000 years of rock art.
Start off your visit on the 26th (Fri): learn more about the world around you at Gobustan State Reserve. On the 27th (Sat), you'll have a packed day of sightseeing: make a trip to Mud Volcanoes and then contemplate the long history of Diri Baba Mausoleum.
