Zagreb, Croatia to Baku is an approximately 11-hour flight. You can also drive; or do a combination of bus and train. Traveling from Zagreb to Baku, you'll lose 3 hours due to the time zone difference. Expect a bit warmer temperatures when traveling from Zagreb in August; daily highs in Baku reach 38°C and lows reach 26°C. You can drive from Baku to Gobustan in 1.5 hours. Another option is to take a train. In September, plan for daily highs up to 31°C, and evening lows to 22°C. Wrap up your sightseeing by early afternoon on the 9th (Thu) to allow time for the car ride to Gabala.

If you're fed up of the concrete jungle, take a trip to Gabala for the perfect getaway.
On the 10th (Fri), explore the activities along Nohur Lake, glide through natural beauty at Tufandag Winter Summer Resort, and then find something for the whole family at Gabaland. On the next day, get curious at Gabala Archaeological Center, then explore the activities along Yeddi Gozel Waterfall, and then take in the dramatic scenery at Seven Beauties Waterfall.

You can drive from Gobustan to Gabala in 2 hours. Another option is to do a combination of train and taxi. Traveling from Gobustan in September, plan for little chillier nights in Gabala, with lows around 17°C. Finish your sightseeing early on the 11th (Sat) so you can drive to Sheki.

Sheki

Azerbaijan's True Historical Gem

Sheki is Azerbaijan’s true travel gem, a small city off the forested slopes of the Greater Caucasus Mountains rich in Silk Road history and renowned for its fascinating architecture, food, and friendly residents.
Step off the beaten path and head to Sheki Khans' Palace and Church of Kish. Take a break from Sheki with a short trip to Ilisu Waterfall in Ilisu, about 50 minutes away. The adventure continues: make a trip to Sheki Fortress, admire the masterpieces at Museum of Folk and Applied Arts, admire the landmark architecture of Sheki Karvansaray, and relax in the rural setting at Bio Garden.
