A truly contemporary city criss-crossed by history, Baku offers everything from the modern elegance of the Flame Towers to the medieval UNESCO-listed Old City at its core.Step out of Baku to go to Gobustan and see Gobustan State Reserve, which is approximately 1h 5 min away. There's still lots to do: steep yourself in history at Baku Old City, examine the collection at Heydar Aliyev Center, get the lay of the land with Walking tours, and go for a walk through Baku Boulevard.
