The City of Eternal Flames, the City of Winds

A truly contemporary city criss-crossed by history, Baku offers everything from the modern elegance of the Flame Towers to the medieval UNESCO-listed Old City at its core.
Change things up with a short trip to Gobustan State Reserve in Gobustan (about 1h 5 min away). There's much more to do: go for a walk through Baku Boulevard, examine the collection at Heydar Aliyev Center, take in panoramic vistas at Flame Towers, and make a trip to Fountains Square.

To see maps, more things to do, reviews, and other tourist information, refer to the Baku day trip planning app.

Kuwait City, Kuwait to Baku is an approximately 6-hour flight. You can also drive. Due to the time zone difference, you'll lose 1 hour traveling from Kuwait City to Baku. When traveling from Kuwait City in October, plan for colder days and little chillier nights in Baku: temperatures range from 21°C by day to 14°C at night. Finish your sightseeing early on the 25th (Mon) to allow enough time to fly back home.
