The City of Eternal Flames, the City of Winds
A truly contemporary city criss-crossed by history, Baku offers everything from the modern elegance of the Flame Towers to the medieval UNESCO-listed Old City at its core.Step out of Baku to go to Gobustan and see Gobustan State Reserve, which is approximately 1h 5 min away. There's still lots to do: steep yourself in history at Baku Old City, take in panoramic vistas at Flame Towers, delve into the distant past at Ateshgah Fire Temple, and make a trip to Fountains Square.
