A truly contemporary city criss-crossed by history, Baku offers everything from the modern elegance of the Flame Towers to the medieval UNESCO-listed Old City at its core.
Do your shopping at Park Bulvar Baku and Ali Shamsi Studio. Step off the beaten path and head to Nizami Street/Torgovaya and Museum of Miniature Books. Take a break from Baku with a short trip to Gobustan State Reserve in Gobustan, about 1h 5 min away. And it doesn't end there: ponder the design of Philharmonic Park, go for a walk through Baku Boulevard, contemplate the long history of Baku Old City, and appreciate the history behind Sculpture Girl on Bench.
