The City of Eternal Flames, the City of Winds

A truly contemporary city criss-crossed by history, Baku offers everything from the modern elegance of the Flame Towers to the medieval UNESCO-listed Old City at its core.
When in Baku, make a side trip to see Gobustan State Reserve in Gobustan, approximately Gobustan away. There's lots more to do: steep yourself in history at Baku Old City, explore the different monuments and memorials at Alley of Martyrs, enjoy breathtaking views from Flame Towers, and delve into the distant past at Ateshgah Fire Temple.

Kuwait City, Kuwait to Baku is an approximately 6-hour flight. You can also drive. You'll lose 1 hour traveling from Kuwait City to Baku due to the time zone difference. When traveling from Kuwait City in February, plan for much colder days and little chillier nights in Baku: temperatures range from 9°C by day to 3°C at night. Finish your sightseeing early on the 29th (Sat) to allow enough time to travel back home.
