The City of Eternal Flames, the City of Winds

A truly contemporary city criss-crossed by history, Baku offers everything from the modern elegance of the Flame Towers to the medieval UNESCO-listed Old City at its core.
Take a break from Baku with a short trip to Gobustan State Reserve in Gobustan, about 1h 5 min away. There's lots more to do: contemplate the long history of Baku Old City, stroll through Yanardag, walk around Philharmonic Park, and see the interesting displays at Heydar Aliyev Center.
