Baku — 4 nights

A truly contemporary city criss-crossed by history, Baku offers everything from the modern elegance of the Flame Towers to the medieval UNESCO-listed Old City at its core.
You'll explore the less-touristy side of things at Fortress Walls of Icheri Sheher and Mud Volcanoes. Bring the kids along to Museum of Miniature Books and Nizami Street/Torgovaya. Step out of Baku with an excursion to Gobustan State Reserve in Gobustan--about 1h 5 min away. There's lots more to do: stroll through Philharmonic Park, pause for some serene contemplation at Archangel Michael Russian Church, stroll around Highland Park, and don't miss a visit to Flame Towers.

To find ratings, traveler tips, other places to visit, and more tourist information, you can read our Baku itinerary planner.

Dubai, United Arab Emirates to Baku is an approximately 6-hour flight. You can also drive. Traveling from Dubai in October, expect Baku to be much colder, temps between 21°C and 14°C. Cap off your sightseeing on the 19th (Tue) early enough to catch the flight back home.
