La Fortuna de San Carlos, Costa Rica to Sheki is an approximately 32-hour combination of car and flight. The time zone difference moving from Central Standard Time (CST) to Azerbaijan Standard Time (AZT) is 10 hours. In May, plan for daily highs up to 28°C, and evening lows to 16°C. On the 22nd (Sun), you're off to Baku.

On the 23rd (Mon), stroll the grounds of Alley of Martyrs, then steep yourself in history at Baku Old City, and then don't miss a visit to Baku Boulevard. Get ready for a full day of sightseeing on the 24th (Tue): enjoy breathtaking views from Flame Towers, examine the collection at Heydar Aliyev Center, and then explore the ancient world of Ateshgah Fire Temple.

Drive from Sheki to Baku in 4.5 hours. Alternatively, you can do a combination of taxi and flight; or take a train. In May, plan for daily highs up to 28°C, and evening lows to 17°C. Cap off your sightseeing on the 24th (Tue) early enough to travel back home.
