Kuwait City, Kuwait to Baku is an approximately 6-hour flight. You can also drive. You'll lose 1 hour traveling from Kuwait City to Baku due to the time zone difference. Expect much colder weather when traveling from Kuwait City in December: highs in Baku hover around 10°C, while lows dip to 3°C. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 20th (Sun) to allow time to drive to Gobustan.

Gobustan

Gobustan Rock Art Cultural Landscape (UNESCO Heritage) covers three areas of a plateau of rocky boulders rising out of the semi-desert of central Azerbaijan, with an outstanding collection of more than 6,000 rock engravings bearing testimony to 40,000 years of rock art.
Kick off your visit on the 21st (Mon): make a trip to Mud Volcanoes and then examine the collection at Gobustan State Reserve.

You can drive from Baku to Gobustan in 1.5 hours. Alternatively, you can take a train. In December, plan for daily highs up to 10°C, and evening lows to 3°C. Wrap up your sightseeing by early afternoon on the 21st (Mon) to allow enough time to travel back home.
