A truly contemporary city criss-crossed by history, Baku offers everything from the modern elegance of the Flame Towers to the medieval UNESCO-listed Old City at its core.
Kick off your visit on the 22nd (Fri): contemplate the long history of Baku Old City, then explore the different monuments and memorials at Alley of Martyrs, and then see the interesting displays at Heydar Aliyev Center. On your second day here, enjoy breathtaking views from Flame Towers, then take in the pleasant sights at Baku Boulevard, then make a trip to Fountains Square, and finally appreciate the history behind Sculpture Girl on Bench.

You can drive from Baku to Guba in 2 hours. Another option is to take a bus. Traveling from Baku in July, plan for little chillier nights in Guba, with lows around 21°C. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 24th (Sun) early enough to drive to Gabala.
