Baku Old City and Alley of Martyrs will appeal to history buffs. Change things up with a short trip to Gobustan State Reserve in Gobustan (about 1h 5 min away). There's much more to do: don't miss a visit to Baku Boulevard, stroll through Yanardag, explore the ancient world of Ateshgah Fire Temple, and take in panoramic vistas at Flame Towers.

If you are flying in from United Arab Emirates, the closest major aiport is Heydar Aliyev International Airport. Expect a daytime high around 15°C in November, and nighttime lows around 9°C. Finish your sightseeing early on the 24th (Wed) so you can travel back home.
