Start off your visit on the 28th (Tue): steep yourself in history at Baku Old City, then see the interesting displays at Azerbaijan National Carpet Museum, then examine the collection at Heydar Aliyev Center, and finally go for a walk through Baku Boulevard. If you are flying in from United Arab Emirates, the closest major aiport is Heydar Aliyev International Airport. In June, plan for daily highs up to 33°C, and evening lows to 22°C. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 30th (Thu) early enough to fly to Ganja.

Ganja — 1 night

Famous as the birthplace of legendary poet Nizami, Ganja is a truly ancient city still bearing traces of the myriad kingdoms and empires that ruled over it in the past.
You've added Mausoleum of Javad Khan, Lake Goygol, Khan's Garden, and other attractions to your itinerary. Kick off your visit on the 30th (Thu): make a trip to Nizami Ganjavi Mausoleum, steep yourself in history at Mausoleum of Javad Khan, take in the spiritual surroundings of Imamzadeh Mausoleum, admire the landmark architecture of Bottle House, then walk around Heydar Aliyev Park, and finally walk around Khan's Garden.

Traveling by flight from Baku to Ganja takes 2.5 hours. Alternatively, you can take a train; or drive. In June, daily temperatures in Ganja can reach 35°C, while at night they dip to 22°C. Finish your sightseeing early on the 1st (Fri) to allow enough time to drive to Sheki.

Sheki is Azerbaijan’s true travel gem, a small city off the forested slopes of the Greater Caucasus Mountains rich in Silk Road history and renowned for its fascinating architecture, food, and friendly residents.
On the 1st (Fri), take in the architecture and atmosphere at Church of Kish, then admire the striking features of Sheki Khans' Palace, and then admire the masterpieces at Museum of Folk and Applied Arts.

You can drive from Ganja to Sheki in 2.5 hours. Another option is to take a train. In July in Sheki, expect temperatures between 36°C during the day and 24°C at night. Finish your sightseeing early on the 2nd (Sat) to allow enough time to drive to Gabala.
