A truly contemporary city criss-crossed by history, Baku offers everything from the modern elegance of the Flame Towers to the medieval UNESCO-listed Old City at its core.
Kick off your visit on the 19th (Sat): steep yourself in history at Baku Old City, then appreciate the history behind Sculpture Girl on Bench, then admire the local landmark of Philharmonic Park, and finally explore the different monuments and memorials at Alley of Martyrs. Get ready for a full day of sightseeing on the 20th (Sun): examine the collection at National Museum of Azerbaijan Literature and then walk around Highland Park.

If you are flying in from United Arab Emirates, the closest major aiport is Heydar Aliyev International Airport. In March, plan for daily highs up to 13°C, and evening lows to 5°C. On the 21st (Mon), you're off to Gobustan.

Gobustan — 1 night

Gobustan Rock Art Cultural Landscape (UNESCO Heritage) covers three areas of a plateau of rocky boulders rising out of the semi-desert of central Azerbaijan, with an outstanding collection of more than 6,000 rock engravings bearing testimony to 40,000 years of rock art.
Start off your visit on the 21st (Mon): fly down the slopes at Tufandag Winter Summer Resort and then take in the dramatic natural features at Yanardag.

Ganja — 1 night

Famous as the birthplace of legendary poet Nizami, Ganja is a truly ancient city still bearing traces of the myriad kingdoms and empires that ruled over it in the past.
Your day by day itinerary now includes Chokek Hammam as well as Maralgol lake. On the 24th (Thu), identify plant and animal life at Maralgol lake and then contemplate the waterfront views at Lake Goygol. On the next day, walk around Khan's Garden and then admire the landmark architecture of Chokek Hammam.
