Dubai, United Arab Emirates to Baku is an approximately 6-hour flight. You can also drive. In May, Baku is cooler than Dubai - with highs of 28°C and lows of 17°C. Finish your sightseeing early on the 3rd (Fri) to allow enough time to drive to Gobustan.

Gobustan — 1 night

Gobustan Rock Art Cultural Landscape (UNESCO Heritage) covers three areas of a plateau of rocky boulders rising out of the semi-desert of central Azerbaijan, with an outstanding collection of more than 6,000 rock engravings bearing testimony to 40,000 years of rock art.
On the 4th (Sat), see the interesting displays at Gobustan State Reserve and then make a trip to Mud Volcanoes.

Drive from Baku to Gobustan in 1.5 hours. Alternatively, you can take a train. In June in Gobustan, expect temperatures between 33°C during the day and 22°C at night. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 4th (Sat) early enough to fly back home.
