Step off the beaten path and head to Museum of Miniature Books and National Museum of History of Azerbaijan. Your cultural itinerary includes sights like Heydar Mosque and Ali Shamsi Studio. Next up on the itinerary: take a stroll through Little Venice, examine the collection at National Museum of Azerbaijan Literature, pause for some serene contemplation at Juma Mosque, and admire the landmark architecture of Baku Railway Station.

When traveling from Kuwait City in July, plan for cooler days in Baku, with highs around 36°C, while nights are little chillier with lows around 26°C. Finish your sightseeing early on the 13th (Wed) so you can drive to Sheki.

Sheki — 1 night

Sheki is Azerbaijan’s true travel gem, a small city off the forested slopes of the Greater Caucasus Mountains rich in Silk Road history and renowned for its fascinating architecture, food, and friendly residents.
Start off your visit on the 14th (Thu): don't miss a visit to Sheki Fortress, then get engrossed in the history at Sheki Khans' Palace, and then take in the architecture and atmosphere at Church of Kish.

Traveling by car from Baku to Sheki takes 4.5 hours. Alternatively, you can do a combination of flight and taxi; or take a train. In July, plan for daily highs up to 36°C, and evening lows to 24°C. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 14th (Thu) early enough to drive to Gabala.
