Ganja — 1 night

Famous as the birthplace of legendary poet Nizami, Ganja is a truly ancient city still bearing traces of the myriad kingdoms and empires that ruled over it in the past.
Kick off your visit on the 23rd (Wed): stroll through Maralgol lake and then take a peaceful walk through Lake Goygol. Keep things going the next day: take in the spiritual surroundings of Imamzadeh Mausoleum and then walk around Heydar Aliyev Park.

Baku to Ganja is an approximately 2.5-hour flight. You can also take a train; or drive. In June, daytime highs in Ganja are 35°C, while nighttime lows are 22°C. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 24th (Thu) to allow time to drive to Lankaran.
