When traveling from Abu Dhabi in June, plan for cooler days and slightly colder nights in Baku: temperatures range from 33°C by day to 22°C at night. Finish up your sightseeing early on the 12th (Sun) so you can go by car to Gobustan.

Gobustan — 2 nights

Gobustan Rock Art Cultural Landscape (UNESCO Heritage) covers three areas of a plateau of rocky boulders rising out of the semi-desert of central Azerbaijan, with an outstanding collection of more than 6,000 rock engravings bearing testimony to 40,000 years of rock art.
On the 13th (Mon), get a new perspective on nature at Gobustan State Reserve and then make a trip to Mud Volcanoes. Keep things going the next day: steep yourself in history at Diri Baba Mausoleum.

You can drive from Baku to Gobustan in 1.5 hours. Another option is to take a train. June in Gobustan sees daily highs of 33°C and lows of 22°C at night. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 14th (Tue) early enough to fly back home.
