The City of Eternal Flames, the City of Winds

A truly contemporary city criss-crossed by history, Baku offers everything from the modern elegance of the Flame Towers to the medieval UNESCO-listed Old City at its core.
Venture out of the city with trips to Sheki Karvansaray (in Sheki) and Gobustan (Gobustan State Reserve & Mud Volcanoes). There's much more to do: contemplate the long history of Baku Old City, explore the different monuments and memorials at Alley of Martyrs, go for a walk through Baku Boulevard, and explore the ancient world of Ateshgah Fire Temple.
