A truly contemporary city criss-crossed by history, Baku offers everything from the modern elegance of the Flame Towers to the medieval UNESCO-listed Old City at its core.
Get a sense of the local culture at Heydar Aliyev Center and Baku Boulevard. Next up on the itinerary: make a trip to Baku Old City, explore the ancient world of Ateshgah Fire Temple, pause for some photo ops at Sculpture Girl on Bench, and examine the collection at Azerbaijan National Carpet Museum.

Muscat, Oman to Baku is an approximately 8.5-hour flight. Traveling from Muscat in August, expect Baku to be a bit cooler, temps between 38°C and 26°C. Finish your sightseeing early on the 15th (Mon) to allow enough time to drive to Guba.
