The City of Eternal Flames, the City of Winds

A truly contemporary city criss-crossed by history, Baku offers everything from the modern elegance of the Flame Towers to the medieval UNESCO-listed Old City at its core.
You'll explore the less-touristy side of things at Vahid Monument and Museum of Miniature Books. Step out of Baku to go to Gobustan and see Gobustan State Reserve, which is approximately 1h 5 min away. Next up on the itinerary: see where the action happens at Baku Olympic Stadium, make a trip to National Flag Square, pause for some serene contemplation at Juma Mosque, and see the interesting displays at National Museum of Azerbaijan Literature.

To find more things to do, other places to visit, traveler tips, and more tourist information, refer to the Baku online attractions planner.

Dubai, United Arab Emirates to Baku is an approximately 6-hour flight. You can also drive. Traveling from Dubai in November, expect Baku to be cooler, temps between 15°C and 9°C. Cap off your sightseeing on the 27th (Sat) early enough to catch the flight back home.
