The City of Eternal Flames, the City of Winds
A truly contemporary city criss-crossed by history, Baku offers everything from the modern elegance of the Flame Towers to the medieval UNESCO-listed Old City at its core.Family-friendly places like Baku Old City and Flame Towers will thrill your kids. Change things up with a short trip to Gobustan State Reserve in Gobustan (about 1h 5 min away). Tehran, Iran to Baku is an approximately 6-hour flight. You can also drive; or do a combination of bus and train. You'll lose 0.5 hours traveling from Tehran to Baku due to the time zone difference. Traveling from Tehran in March, expect Baku to be a bit cooler, temps between 13°C and 5°C. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 23rd (Mon) to allow time to drive to Gusar.
