The City of Eternal Flames, the City of Winds

A truly contemporary city criss-crossed by history, Baku offers everything from the modern elegance of the Flame Towers to the medieval UNESCO-listed Old City at its core.
Step out of Baku to go to Gobustan and see Gobustan State Reserve, which is approximately 1h 5 min away. Next up on the itinerary: don't miss a visit to Baku Old City, explore the ancient world of Ateshgah Fire Temple, tour the pleasant surroundings at Yanardag, and go for a walk through Baku Boulevard.

Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates to Baku is an approximately 7.5-hour flight. You can also drive. Expect colder temperatures when traveling from Abu Dhabi in April; daily highs in Baku reach 19°C and lows reach 9°C. Finish your sightseeing early on the 7th (Tue) to allow enough time to drive to Gusar.
