The City of Eternal Flames, the City of Winds

A truly contemporary city criss-crossed by history, Baku offers everything from the modern elegance of the Flame Towers to the medieval UNESCO-listed Old City at its core.
Take a break from Baku with a short trip to Gobustan State Reserve in Gobustan, about 1h 5 min away. There's lots more to do: contemplate the long history of Baku Old City, take in the pleasant sights at Baku Boulevard, stop by Menzer Hajiyeva Showroom, and see the interesting displays at Azerbaijan National Carpet Museum.

Sheki is Azerbaijan’s true travel gem, a small city off the forested slopes of the Greater Caucasus Mountains rich in Silk Road history and renowned for its fascinating architecture, food, and friendly residents.
Kick off your visit on the 16th (Thu): explore the world behind art at Museum of Folk and Applied Arts, make a trip to Sheki Fortress, then browse the exhibits of Sheki Khans' Palace, and finally take in the architecture and atmosphere at Church of Kish.
