The City of Eternal Flames, the City of Winds

A truly contemporary city criss-crossed by history, Baku offers everything from the modern elegance of the Flame Towers to the medieval UNESCO-listed Old City at its core.
Step out of Baku to go to Gobustan and see Gobustan State Reserve, which is approximately 1h 5 min away. There's still lots to do: don't miss a visit to Baku Old City, shop like a local with Menzer Hajiyeva Showroom, stroll the grounds of Alley of Martyrs, and explore the ancient world of Ateshgah Fire Temple.

New Delhi, India to Baku is an approximately 11.5-hour flight. Due to the time zone difference, you'll gain 1.5 hours traveling from New Delhi to Baku. Traveling from New Delhi in June, expect Baku to be slightly colder, temps between 33°C and 22°C. Cap off your sightseeing on the 4th (Thu) early enough to go by car to Gabala.

If you're fed up of the concrete jungle, take a trip to Gabala for the perfect getaway.
On the 5th (Fri), have some family-friendly fun at Gabala Shooting Club, then find something for the whole family at Gabaland, and then stroll through Tufandag Winter Summer Resort. Keep things going the next day: explore the activities along Nohur Lake, then contemplate in the serene atmosphere at Gabala City Mosque, then admire the sheer force of Yeddi Gozel Waterfall, and finally take in the dramatic scenery at Seven Beauties Waterfall.

Traveling by car from Baku to Gabala takes 3.5 hours. Alternatively, you can take a bus; or do a combination of train and taxi. Traveling from Baku in June, plan for a bit cooler nights in Gabala, with lows around 19°C. Finish your sightseeing early on the 6th (Sat) so you can drive to Sheki.

Sheki is Azerbaijan’s true travel gem, a small city off the forested slopes of the Greater Caucasus Mountains rich in Silk Road history and renowned for its fascinating architecture, food, and friendly residents.
On the 7th (Sun), make a trip to Sheki Fortress, admire the landmark architecture of Sheki Khans' Palace, then admire the landmark architecture of Sheki Karvansaray, and finally pause for some serene contemplation at Church of Kish.

Getting from Gabala to Sheki by car takes about 1.5 hours. Other options: take a bus. June in Sheki sees daily highs of 34°C and lows of 20°C at night. Finish your sightseeing early on the 7th (Sun) to allow enough time to drive to Ganja.

A Young Spirit Located in an Ancient Land

Famous as the birthplace of legendary poet Nizami, Ganja is a truly ancient city still bearing traces of the myriad kingdoms and empires that ruled over it in the past.
Kick off your visit on the 8th (Mon): make a trip to Nizami Ganjavi Mausoleum, contemplate in the serene atmosphere at Imamzadeh Mausoleum, pause for some serene contemplation at The Alexander Nevsky Church, then admire the striking features of Bottle House, and finally stroll through Khan's Garden.
